Destination

At the small car park, southwest of Berghausen, at the old Dörsbach bridge, at the junction of Landstraße 322 / Kreisstraße 55.

Turn-by-turn directions

From the starting point, you first walk through an imposing wooden gate and into a beautiful meadow valley, where you find the first station of the Heart Path.

Now walk on to a farm track, which you follow to the right, and stations three and four soon follow.

Continue to the left along a meadow path until just before the district road 57 and then along this road. Soon you cross the small road and reach the fifth station.

Now you walk along the edge of the forest with a beautiful view over the Taunus and later downhill into the Dörsbach valley and past station six to the small village of Dörsdorf.

Here you cross the small Dörsbach creek and the country road to reach the Ackerbach valley.

On the way up to the district road, the Heart Path passes station seven and soon reaches a forest with a huge oak tree.

Passing stations eight to ten, the trail now returns to the starting point at the bridge with a beautiful view of Katzenelnbogen.

From the Dörsbach bridge, the trail now continues upwards towards Berghausen and to stations 11 and 12 in the open countryside.

In the village of Berghausen itself you will find the last of the 13 stations of the Heart Path, and walking past the cemetery you will reach the familiar starting point again.

By road

Coming from Katzenelnbogen, turn left at the junction of Landstraße 322 / Kreisstraße 55 in direction of Berghausen, after about 50 m turn right into the small car park at the old Dörsbach bridge, directly at the starting point of the hiking trail.

Parking

At the small car park at the old Dörsbach bridge, directly at the starting point of the hiking trail.
