Turn-by-turn directions
From here, the trail leads gently downhill until the city wall of Dausenau appears. We recommend leaving the Lahnwanderweg trail for a short while to stroll through the picturesque town center with the second oldest Gothic half-timbered town hall in Germany. You can also visit the Schiefe Turm.
After having visited the town, the Lahnwanderweg trail leads across the Lahn bridge and takes you steeply uphill to Kuxlay. High above the Lahn, a resting place can be found. If you have enough time, you should also make a detour to Nassau castle and enjoy the beautiful view. Passing the Freiherr-vom-Stein monument, you will reach Nassau with its pretty town hall.
Behind Nassau a forest path leads up to the Hohe Lay. Using a metal staircase, you can get to the viewing platform with a view of Arnstein monastery and Langenau castle. Behind Weinähr with the Gelbachufer, a well secured nature trail leads around a rocky outcrop to the Langenaublick. From there, Obernhof is quite close. Passing cozy wine taverns, you will sooner or later reach the Lahnbrücke.
