In the Mining and Urban Museum at Schlossplatz, visitors will learn not only about the city's history from 906 to the present day, but also about mining in the region.

Uniquely, you can explore the underground mining of iron ore in the Deep Adit. In the Small Cabinet of the museum, there are readings, a variety of art exhibitions, theater performances as well as cabaret events and lectures on the history of the town and mining.

The Weilburg Mining and Town Museum is a geopoint in the Westerwald-Lahn-Taunus GEOPARK. Thanks to the new audio guides, visitors to our Weilburg Mining and Town Museum can take even more individualized forays into Weilburg's history.

Combined ticket with Weilburg Castle There is a joint ticket for the Mining and Town Museum and the Castle at a lower price.
