As a family business of the 3rd generation, we live and cultivate our vineyards in Detzem, Piesport and Krettnach. Several steep slopes, such as the “Detzemer Maximiner Klosterlay” and the “KrettnacherAltenberg” are the prerequisites for honest and characterful wines with unique aromas. Along almost 20 km of the Mosel, from Nennig to Rehlingen, we plant white and red grape varieties, including more than 20% of Elbling, the oldest German vine. True to our motto "Pure Variety", there are now 20 different grape varieties (Auxerrois, Cabernet Cortis, Chardonnay, Dornfelder, Dunkelfelder, Elbling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, Kerner, Ortega, Regent, Riesling, Rivaner, Roter Riesling, Sankt Laurent, Schwarzriesling, Solaris, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Pinot Blanc). The diversity of grape varieties reflects the diversity of our region. Our soils in Palzem near the Moselle consist of shell limestone. They are foothills of the Paris Basin. They warm up quickly, are permeable and particularly well suited for Elbling and the Burgundy varieties. One-third of our vineyards are steep slopes - which means a lot of manual work: from pruning in winter to leaf care, defoliation and grape halving in summer to manual harvesting in autumn. Our white wines are fermented in stainless steel or wooden barrels. The red wines mature after the mash fermentation partly 1-2 years in small barriques.

On the estate, the centuries-old wine culture is within reach: in the spacious park of the vintner's villa, above the enormous vaulted cellar, under the old trees, framed by hydrangeas, roses and lavender, you can enjoy the excellent Riesling and Burgundy wines.

The former Prussian estate from 1898, with its listed chateau character perched high above the Saar, is the first winery on the Saar. The siblings Felix and Annalena Heimes run the family business together. The most important Great Vineyards are the Ockfener Bockstein, Serriger Herrenberg & Serriger Würtzberg. At present, the Heimes family cultivates about 17 hectares of vines. The grape varieties are Riesling, Weissburgunder, Spätburgunder, Grauburgunder and Auxerrois. The vinotheque is open weekly. The wines of the Würtzberg vineyard can be tasted there. In addition, events are regularly held at the winery.

Thierry offers a cuisine with many regional products and a German-French touch. There is always a vegetarian menu, plus a menu with fish and one with meat. 

The Riesling Winemakers - Winery Spieles-Fuchs We are a family business and produce our wines ourselves in our own vineyards around the wine village Leiwen. Our vineyard area is 3.5 ha, partly on steep slopes. We attach great importance to the best quality of the grapes from which our unique Riesling wines ripen. In our winery you will find wines of world class. The Riesling grape is the focus of our work. All wines and sparkling wine are varietal and come only from the vintage that is on the respective label. Our bottled wines are fermented in stainless steel tanks to create high quality wines full of character. Our top vineyards are the Leiwener Laurentiuslay, the Trittenheimer Apotheke and the Klüsserather Bruderschaft. Our "vinotheque at river kilometer 174" of the Moselle hugs the visible slate outer wall of our carefully renovated holiday home "Historisches Lörscher Winzerhaus". The new glass extension is independent and decidedly modern. An exciting symbiosis of old and new architecture. Enjoy our wines in this wonderful atmosphere. On our sunny terrace, in the middle of the vineyards with a view of the Moselle, we serve tarte flambée and other small dishes to go with the wine.
