The hike over the "Salmaser Höhe" features a beautiful scenery and is suitable for everyone. It is a secret tip for the spring and the autumn, when there is still a little bit of snow left on the mountain peaks. With 1254 m, the Salmaser is the highest elevation in the range of hills that runs north of Immenstadt and Oberstaufen.
The difference in elevation from the starting point in Wiedemannsdorf to the summit is about 500 meters. The hiking trails run across mountain meadows and through small forest areas. From time to time you come across alpine huts that offer delicious snacks during the summer.
